Betsy Archer, MS, BB (ASCP) joined the VHHA in July 2015 and is our Senior Director for Grants and Performance Improvement. Her work focuses on quality, safety, and value improvement in healthcare in the Commonwealth. Betsy’s primary role will be leading the second phase of the CMS funded Hospital Engagement Network (HEN 2.0). Before joining the VHHA, Betsy served as the Quality Manager for Bon Secours Virginia Ambulatory Care Division. Betsy is an American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certified Medical Technologist in Blood Banking, and previously worked in the Transfusion Medicine Laboratory at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond. Betsy earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences with a focus on Transfusion Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Tech.
