Sara Hendon Heisler joined VHHA in 2015 as Associate General Counsel. She assists VHHA and its members with legal, governmental and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining VHHA, Sara worked in the private practice of law for over six years, focusing on health care regulatory and transactional matters including reimbursement and coding issues, fraud and abuse, Medicare and Medicaid issues as well as Certificate of Public Need. She has a law degree from the University of Richmond, a Masters in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia.
