VHHA is involved at every stage in the development of the laws, regulations and guidelines that affect hospitals and health systems and their patients. We influence the laws enacted by the General Assembly each year and the regulations and guidelines developed by state agencies to implement those laws. VHHA plays a similar role at the federal level. VHHA also represents hospitals and health systems in influencing nongovernmental “regulation” such as The Joint Commission oversight. VHHA provides resources to assist its members in their compliance with these laws, regulations and guidelines.
VoterVOICE is VHHA's grassroots tool to help hospital and health system employees reach out to their federal and state legislators on the issues that matter the most. Sign up today to start making an impact on issues such as Medicaid funding, medical liability, COPN reform and others. Our membership is our most effective advocacy resource.
HosPAC, VHHA's political action committee, is a statewide, nonprofit organization created to achieve legislative and political success and to preserve quality health care in Virginia. It was founded in 1984 to pursue a stronger advocacy role and achieve political potency for Virginia’s hospitals.
