The latest edition of VHHA’s monthly FOCUS publication provides a summary of the disposition of some key health care public policy proposals considered by the Virginia General Assembly during the 2017 legislative session. During the session, VHHA staff monitored and engaged on bills pertaining to advance directives, behavioral health, Certificate of Public Need, cybersecurity, opioids, palliative care, workers’ compensation, and more. Those efforts are a continuation of ongoing work by the Association and its members to enhance health care quality, safety, and value in pursuit of making Virginia the healthiest state in the nation.
