The Commonwealth of Virginia has designated Patient Safety Day as February 2nd. This two-day summit provides information and strategies to enhance patient safety, reduce the risk of error, and improve effectiveness of teams in the delivery of healthcare. Our 2017 summit will focus on The Human Factor: Optimizing Safety for Patients and Providers. Participants will learn about and discuss methods for health care professionals to collaborate with patients and families in all aspects of care across the continuum.

Audience includes: physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, home health care professionals, long-term care professionals, hospital and health system chief executive officers and leaders, patient safety officers, directors of quality, risk managers and healthcare professional faculty engaged in undergraduate and graduate education.
