Grant Administrator, Rural Health Transformation
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Grant Administrator, Rural Health Transformation to support grant administration and financial management for grants funded through Virginia’s Rural Health Transformation Program. This role within the VHHA Foundation plays a key part in ensuring grant compliance, supporting rural health providers, and advancing statewide health transformation initiatives.
Key position responsibilities include managing post-award grant administration and reporting in collaboration with the Director of Grant Operations; supporting subrecipients to ensure grant funds are used appropriately, compliantly, and on schedule; building and maintaining strong relationships with hospitals, residency candidates, health professionals, and partner organizations; preparing reports financial documentation, presentations, agendas, and other materials supporting program implementation; assisting with subaward workflows, compliance monitoring, and invoice review; supporting financial reporting, procurement processes, and contract administration; and collaborating with internal staff and external stakeholders to help hospitals identify and pursue additional funding opportunities

Rural Health Transformation Program Manager, Graduate Medical Education
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association is seeking a Rural Health Transformation Program Manager, Graduate Medical Education (GME) to lead a critical statewide initiative expanding graduate medical education opportunities in rural Virginia. Within the VHHA Foundation team, this role plays a key part in strengthening the rural healthcare workforce and supporting long-term provider retention.
Reporting to the Director of Workforce Initiatives, the Program Manager will oversee a grant-funded Graduate Medical Education initiative through Virginia’s Rural Health Transformation Program. The position focuses on expanding residency slots and rural clinical rotations in primary care, OB/GYN, psychiatry, and nurse midwifery, while developing wraparound services that support rural clinical professional retention and long-term sustainability.
This is a highly collaborative role working with hospitals, residency programs, state agencies, and community partners across Virginia.
Key responsibilities include serving as a project lead and primary point of contact for the GME Initiative; managing grant implementation, post-award reporting, and subrecipient support; developing and administering rural-track clinical rotation sites; supporting development of local navigation and wraparound services for residents; monitoring performance measures and analyzing outcomes in collaboration with analytics teams; establishing and maintaining partnerships with rural providers and hospitals; integrating GME efforts with broader workforce development and recruitment initiatives; overseeing five-year rural service commitments for participating residents; providing policy insight related to rural health transformation and sustainable GME funding, preparing reports, presentations, and meeting materials to support program success; and assisting hospitals in identifying and pursuing additional Rural Health Transformation funding opportunities.

Rural Health Transformation Program Manager – Remote Patient Monitoring
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association is seeking a Rural Health Transformation Program Manager, Remote Patient Monitoring to lead a statewide initiative expanding access to innovative, continuous care technologies for rural communities across Virginia. This role within VHHA Foundation manages a multi-partner pilot program funded through Virginia’s Rural Health Transformation Program, bringing together hospitals, health systems, vendors, and state agencies to improve care quality, coordination, and long-term patient outcomes.

Manager of Medicaid Financial Policy
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) is seeking candidates for Manager of Medicaid Financial Policy at our headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia. The Manager of Medicaid Financial Policy provides technical, analytical, and operational support to ensure the effective administration of the Virginia Hospital Mutual Assistance Program (MAP) and other Medicaid financial policy initiatives.
This position plays a key role in data analysis, reconciliation, and policy support functions, and will work closely with VHHA member organizations, the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), and internal teams. The Manager will collaborate with the Senior Director of Medicaid and Hospital Financial Policy to maintain accuracy in program operations, monitor Medicaid-related changes, and ensure the timely execution of program processes.
