This year, Virginia voters will select the Commonwealth’s next Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General during the November 2025 statewide elections. All 100 district seats in the Virginia House of Delegates are also on the November ballot. As part of its continuing advocacy engagement on behalf of Virginia patients, hospitals, and health systems, VHHA held a series of candidate forums in August of 2025 to provide hospital leaders and health care stakeholders with an opportunity to hear from the candidates and learn more about their views on health policy. Candidate forum participants included Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican nominee for Governor; state Senator Ghazala Hashmi, the Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor; and former Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, the Democratic nominee for Governor.
