In celebration and recognition of hospitals and their teams, the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) hosted a series of events in theaters around Virginia in May 2026 to show a short film produced in honor of National Nurses Week, National Hospital Week, and the Association’s 100th anniversary. The documentary – Healing and Hope: Hospitals’ Legacy of Service in Virginia – highlights the positive economic and public health impact of hospitals, their evolving work, and their history in Virginia as told through the stories of Virginia patients and providers. Free screenings locations include Wytheville, Glen Allen, Woodbridge, Woodstock, Hampton, and Roanoke. Read more about the project here.
